This was taken at 9pm it was pitch black.
I thought that this was a very good representation of what
is known as light pollution. In the distance there is a cloud of light that is generated by the dirty and unefficent town , where as in the foreground the cars that travel past spilling their headlights onto the trees .

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactI have seen plenty of photos like this one, time lapses and long exposures of light, but this one strikes me in a different way.
I truly love the clarity and the straight lines here. There are no "wobbles" and cross overs, just straight, accentuated lines. In addition you have the intense flash of light in the distance where car lights are accumulating and blending into one another.
What I also truly like is the slowly fading glow at the edge of the road, dissipating as it reaches further into nature which to me has a very symbolic meaning considering also the title of this piece.
Compared with the subdued light that the sky provides in addition, this is a very surreal, yet powerful image and it is not often that I have seen a better reminder of how much humanity is literally cutting through nature to expand 'civilization' ever further.
